Melba Louise Brim (Hatley)

Melba Brim, 68, of KCMO passed away June 21, 2017. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Services will be 10am Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Melba was born on February 14, 1949 in Leachville, Arkansas to William and Mary (Felton) Hatley. She attended William Chrisman High School. After high school she married the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” Brim Sr. Together they shared over 49 years of marriage. She worked as a Floor Supervisor at Adam’s Mark Hotel for over 29 years. Melba enjoyed making quilts, shopping, and fishing (both in real world or the virtual world!). She was a selfless person who always put others before herself, especially her children and grandchildren. Survivors include; husband Ron Brim; four legged son Butch Brim; son Ron Brim, Jr.; daughter Brenda Brim and her husband Billy Killham; grandchildren Ryan Johnston, Britney Johnston, Angelica Brim, Shelby Wilkes, Casondra Brim, and Carmen Brim; great grandchildren Elaina Johnston, Haylee Golden, Austin Sydney, Jr., Rosalia Peraza, and David Peraza; brother Billy Hatley; sister Linda Doss; a large extended family and many friends. Melba is preceded in death by her parents, sister Wanda Foster, and brothers William Hatley, Sr., and Johnny Hatley.
