Hugh "Bob� Brock, 79, Independence MO, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at Independence Regional Health Center. Memorial Services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday, August 16, at the Waldo Restoration Branch. Visitation will be 7-8:30 PM Friday, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Bob Brock Outreach Ministries, c/o Commerce Bank, Independence MO. Bob was born August 2, 1924, in Independence MO, to Hugh L. and Florence (Eastman) Brock. He moved to the Flint Hills of Kansas, where he worked as a cowboy for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Paratrooper. He moved to the Independence area and worked as a farmer on the RLDS Church Farm until his retirement in 1987. He loved the Gospel and worked tirelessly to be of service to others. He was a member of the Waldo Restoration Branch, and had earlier attended the Missionary Restoration Branch. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, June, of the home; 5 children, Patricia Frye and husband Frank, Oaxaca, Mexico, and Howard Brock and wife Patty, Debra McCarty and husband Dan, Barbara Brock-Davis and husband Hal, and Douglas Brock and wife Courtney, all of Independence MO; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Brock, of Idaho; 2 sisters, Betty Peters, Vancouver WA, and Rose Pointer, Rockaway OR; and many other loving relatives and friends
