Sarah Mae Brock (Cartmill)

Sarah Mae Brock, 59, of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, January 5, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, from 6-8 pm at the Speaks Buckner Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Chapel. Burial will be in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Sarah was born on November 2, 1955 in Independence, MO to Perry and Mary (Howell) Cartmill. She was a lifelong Buckner resident, and it was in Buckner that she met her husband Wayne Brock. There they raised their 2 daughters. Sarah came from a musical family and joined the family band “The 5 C’s”, where she played the guitar. They enjoyed playing at local venues. She loved all types of music, but country was her favorite. Sarah was also a great animal lover, especially dogs. She was also a master on the Wii. People would gather around and watch her bowl! Survivors include; husband of 35 years, Wayne; daughters Amber and Katherine Brock; sister, Judy Craig, and brother Dennis Cartmill. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents.
