Marjorie L. Bromley, 78, of Independence, MO passed away on June 10, 2006 at the Rosewood Health Center. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 17, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel, followed by the burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Marjorie was born on June 28, 1927 in Pascagoula, MS to Clifton and Irene Williams. She retired from the Independence School District in 1989 after 20 years of service. Marjorie was a faithful member of the Restoration Branch Church, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Every role she had, whether it was one of work, church or family, was always nurturing. Despite her physical challenges, her inner strength never wavered, and she will always be remembered by her family as a positive and resilient force in their lives. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Bromley; one son, Marcus West; and one brother, Kelly Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Gaye Sharp and husband Larry; son, Blake West and wife Cindy; stepchildren, Gary Bromley and Carolyn Shuttleworth; brother, Rudolph Williams; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
