Robert Brooks, Jr.

Robert Brooks, 43, of Independence, MO passed August 16, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Robert was born July 9, 1969 in Kansas City, MO to Robert Sr. and Beverly (Cothern) Brooks. He was a graduate from UMKC with honors. He went off to a very successful career in computer programing. His long-time goal was to retire at age 40 and he achieved that, enjoying golfing and spending time with his family and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lawrence Brook, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Brooks; one sister, Leigh Brooks; two brothers, Stephen and David Brooks; nephew, Bobby Brooks; and two dogs, Casey and Joey. Robert will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
