Virginia Mae Brooks passed away Friday, January 5, 2007 at the DelMar Gardens of Overland Park, KS. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Virginia was born in Boonville, Mo to Nathaniel W. and Dolly A. (Brizendine) Martin. She grew up in Wooldridge, MO and moved to the Kansas City area in 1950. She was employed by Lifetouch Pictures from 1960 until she retired in1998. Ms. Brooks was a devout member of the RLDS Church of Latter Day Saints. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She lived a long healthy happy life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by a sister, Orphie Walters of Boonville, Mo; a nephew Gerald and Phyllis Kendrick; 3 nieces, Edwina Scruggs of Stover, MO, Sharon and Dennis Gardner of Owasso, OK and Debbie and Tom Rockers of Independence, MO; 6 great nephews, Mark Kendrick, Ken Stuart, Erick Stuart, Dee Gardner, Damon Gardner, Brian Scruggs; 7 great nieces, Janelle Kinnison, Charlene Osby, Reynelle Miller, Renee� Rockers, Melissa Rockers, Lenise Scruggs and Rachel Cox; 14 great great nephews, 9 great great nieces; 2 great great great nephews and 1 great great great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Ralph Martin, Floyd Martin and Bill Martin; 4 sisters, Laura Martin, Ruth Kendrick, Ida Dulin, Viola Mikulich; a niece Gwendolyn Stuart and a great niece Michelle Rockers.
