Donna M. Broughton, 73, Independence, MO passed away March 13 2010. Services will be 10 am, Wed., March 17, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 –8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donna was born Aug. 11, 1936 to James H. and Dollie W. Brown in Bronson, KS, and graduated from Iola (KS) High School. She was a caregiver for over thirty years and touched the lives of over one hundred children. She was a member of the Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Loren Dale Broughton, three brothers and a sister. She is survived by daughters Cheryl Lyons and husband Craig, Virginia Beach, VA; Pam Clevenger, Independence, MO; Brenda Scarborough and husband Brian, Blue Springs, MO; son Larry Broughton; brother Donald Brown, both of Independence, MO, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
