Arline Brown

Arline Brown, 77 of Grain Valley, MO passed away Friday, Sep. 5, 2003 at her home. Services will be 10:00 am, Tue. Sep 9, 2003 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Rescue Mission, 1520 Cherry, Kansas City, MO 64108. Mrs. Brown was born on Feb. 3, 1926 to Clarence and Venus (Ward) Craigg in Mendon, MO and had lived in Kansas City - Independence area most of her life. She had been a bookkeeper for Waldel & Reed Stocks and Bonds retiring in the late 1980�s. She had been a member of the Eastern Star and was of the United Methodist faith. Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Brown Sr in 1987. She is survived by a son, Edward L Brown Jr and his wife Karen Kay of Independence, MO. A daughter, Jeanette Alderton and her husband Harvey of Buckner, MO. One brother, Orville Craigg of Rockford, IL and one sister, Wanda Strucktemeyer of Independence, MO. Eight grandchildren, Edward L. Brown III, Tammy Loraine Trussell, Roy Daniel Brown, Terry Eugene Cox, Bobbie Dawn Drake, Lawanda Drake, Shane C. Alderton and Melissa A. Alderton and by seven great grandchildren.
