Eileen Marie Brown, 86, of Grain Valley, passed away, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Lee’s Summit Pointe. She was born March 25, 1928, in Pike County, MO to Joseph A. and Dessie B. (Page) Betts. She worked as a Real Estate agent for 30 years for Gaslight Realty until she retired in 2000. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting, going to the casinos and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, United Methodist Women and the Real Estate Board. She was married to Jack D. Brown on June 13, 1948, he preceded her in death on January 14, 2003. She is survived by: her 3 sons, Larry Brown and wife, Mary, and David Brown and wife, Susan, all of Oak Grove, MO, and Greg Brown and wife, Laylee, of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Pauline Grant of Vandalia, MO and Willene Gamm of Bowling Green, MO; a brother, Bill Betts of Bowling Green, MO a niece, June Berry and her family of Tightwad, MO; 9 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1950 SW Eagles Pkwy, Grain Valley, MO 64029. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 at the church.
