George Edward Brown, 82, of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, January 23, 2005 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. George was born February 2, 1923 in Highpoint, NC to Hugh and Rosa A (Henderson) Brown and has lived in the area since 1950. He was employed by the Kansas City School District for 36 years in several capacities retiring as an administrative assistant. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army from 1943-46. He was a member of the Country Meadows Baptist Church in Independence. He enjoyed most of all spending time with his family. He was married to Mary L. Price on August 21, 1944, She passed away on November 7, 2004. Survivors include; 3 sons, Terry Brown of Independence, MO, Randy Brown of Warrensburg, MO and Rick Brown of Independence, MO; a daughter. Georgia Brown of Ft. Collins, CO; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Brown and 3 grandchildren, Lauren D�Angelo, Amy Brown and Chance Brown.
