Helen E. Brown

Helen E. (Pine) Brown, 87, Lodi, CA, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Lodi Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10 am, Wed., June 20, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel followed by a graveside service at 1:30 pm at Holden Cemetery, Holden, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Holden Cemetery Association.
Helen was born Aug. 10, 1919, to William and Lydia (Adams) Pine in Centerview, MO. She worked 27½ years at the General Motors Leeds Plant. She was a member of UAW Local #93 and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Helen had lived most of her life in Independence until her move in 2002 to be near her son, Jerry in California.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Emma Mapes and Nellie Geary and brother Robert Pine. She is survived by her son Jerry Magee and wife Aziza, Lodi, CA; six grandchildren: Jerry Curtis, Cindy, Bobby, Wahed, Nagib & Harres; four great-grandchildren; two nieces Juliana Pine; Patsy Roberts and husband Charles; sister-in-law Dorothy Pine; several cousins and many friends.
Helen loved her family and friends, but most of all her son, Jerry, meant the world to her.
