Howard "Dean" Brown

Howard “Dean” Brown, 65, of Independence, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 after his second battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Dean was born May 7, 1954 to Charles Howard and Mary Louise (Odom) Brown in Kansas City, MO. He worked for 40 years as a truck driver, most recently for Estes Express. Dean enjoyed hunting, going to the firing range, and bowling with his Sterling Bowl family. He loved tropical destinations such as Jamaica and the Bahamas, but also enjoyed riding his Harley.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edward Chadwick. He is survived by his sons, Matt Harris of Parkville, MO, Justin Brown of Independence, and Nick Haney (wife, Alicia) of Lee’s Summit; brothers, Steve Brown and Mike Brown, both of Independence; niece, Erin Hessenflow (husband, Travis) and their son, Maverick, of Independence; nephew, Brian (wife, Trina) Chadwick and their son, Andrew, of Liberty, MO; as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
