Mary Louise (Price) Brown, 75, Independence, Mo., died Nov. 7, 2004 at Independence Manor Care Center. Services will be 2 pm, Wed., Nov. 10, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 - 2 pm, Wed. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice or the Independence Manor Care Center. Mary was born July 23, 1929 in Cadillac, Michigan and grew up in Michigan. During WW II, she was a singer/entertainer for the U.S.O. for troops stationed in the southern U.S. She worked as an L.P.N. at Truman Medical Center for 21 years before retirement in 1991. She was a member of the R.L.D.S. church and was passionate about helping many people during their times of need. Mary was a creative, talented vocalist and artist. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. Brown and two granddaughters Lauren D�Angelo and Amy Brown. She is survived by her husband, George E. Brown, of the home; son Terril P. Brown, Sugar Creek, MO; daughter Georgia D�Angelo and husband Don, Ft. Collins, CO; son Randall L. Brown, Warrensburg, MO; son Richard D. Brown and wife Leslie, Indep., MO; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the sincere compassion and quality of care given by the entire staff of Independence Manor Care Center.
