Paul Robert Brown Jr.

Paul R. Brown, Jr., 85, Independence, MO passed away Feb. 24, 2017. Memorial services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will be 1-2 pm, before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to Hope House, P.O. Box 577, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.
Paul was born Aug. 4, 1931 in Independence and graduated from Oak Grove High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a production supervisor for the Opti-Copy Company for ten years before retiring in 1993. He enjoyed dancing, mechanical work and home maintenance projects but his family was his life. Paul is survived by his wife Reitha Brown, of the home; daughters Cathy Cross, Independence, MO; Paulette Mitchell-Schwartz and husband Stan, Columbia, MO; granddaughters Meghan Cross and Jessica Mitchell and sister-in-law Donna Sell, Clinton, MO:
