Charles A. Brownrigg, 88 of Shawnee Mission, KS passed away Mon. Jan. 23, 2012 at the home of his Caregiver, Don Hubbell in Overland Park, KS.. Services will be 11:00 am, Mon. Jan. 30, 2012 at the Olivet Baptist Church, 4901 Mission Rd., Westwood, KS 66205, with a visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm in Welda Cemetery, Welda, KS. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Church Memorial Fund. Mr. Brownrigg was born on Sep. 30, 1923 to Isaac and Eva (Britton) Brownrigg in Welda, KS. Charles retired, as a printer, from St. Lukes Hospital after working there for 34 years. He was a member of the Olivet Baptist Church. Charles was united in Marriage to Viola Mae Dicus, to this union a son was born, Charles Wayne. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, parents and three brothers, Dean, Eugene and Kenneth. He is survived by his son, Charles Wayne of the home, two sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Williams of ElDorado, KS, Mary Mace and husband John, Richmond, KS. Two sisters-in-law, Joy Brownrigg of Ottawa, KS and Violet Brownrigg of Welda, KS. Eight nephews and six nieces. Also by many other friends and relatives.
