JOHN BROWNSBERGER
John Brownsberger, 76, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, September 16th 2013. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the chapel.
John was born October 9th 1936 in Johnstown, MO to Benjamin and Mary (Fessler) Brownsberger. He graduated high school in 1955 in Montrose, MO. He married Jacqueline Jenkins and together they raised five children. He worked from 1960-90 at Ford Motor Co. and after retirement drove a school bus for Durham for ten years. He also had his TV Repair license and enjoyed fixing TV’s and CB radios. John’s family was everything. He supported his children through Boy Scouts as their Scout Master and taught everyone the essentials of the outdoors. John is remembered as caring and with great sense of humor. He is loved and will be missed.
John is survived by son, Greg Brownsberger and wife Darcy of Platte City, MO; son, Jeff Brownsberger and wife Betty of Independence, MO; daughter, Angie Pritchett of Independence, MO; son, Tim Brownsberger and wife Patty of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Kim Lezcano of Chandler, AZ; ten grandchildren; sister, Cathy Coffey; brother, Sam Brownsberger and wife Donna; and sister, Susie Goodnight and husband Glenn. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie, in 2006. The family encourages contributions to Parkinson Foundation of Greater Kansas City; 7800 Foster, Overland Park, KS 66204 in his memory.
