Orville Bruce

Orville Bruce, 87, Independence, Mo. died April 17, 2005 at his home. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Wed. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Orville was born Sept. 21, 1918 in St. Claire County, Mo. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II where he earned three Bronze Stars. Orville worked at Bendix Corp. for thirty years and retried in 1981. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie E. Bruce in 2002, daughter Betty Bruce in 2003 and brother Kenny Bruce in 2000. He is survived by daughter Marjorie Stout, Overland Park, Ks; son Randy Bruce, Carol Stream, Il; grandchildren Melissa Mutkoski, Westford, Ma; Anthony Soria; Nicole Ringold, Westford, Ma; and six great-grandchildren.
