Larry Joe Brueggemann, 67, of Independence, Mo, passed away, Saturday, October 29, 2005 at his residence. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the Golden City United Methodist Church in Golden City, MO. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City, MO. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Larry was born June 25, 1938 in Golden City, Mo to Harold and Virginia (Nichols) Brueggemann, was raised there and graduated from Golden City High School in 1956. He then entered the Air Force and served from 1957-61. He had worked as a computer analyst and programmer at Belger Cartage Service for 21 years until he retired in 2003. He enjoyed fishing, was an amateur radio operator and played trumpet in the Raytown Community Band. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Boulevard United Methodist Church where he played in the music ensemble. He was married to Joyce Jacobs on October 12, 1958, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 2 daughters, Karen Roth, her husband Doug and their children JoAnna and Alexa, of Denver, CO, Stacey Lemke, her husband Dean and son Carson of Troy, MO; his father, Harold Brueggemann of Golden City, MO.
