Marcia Ann (Stark) Brunson, 69, Independence, MO passed away May 2, 2017. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF Kansas City, 215 W. Pershing Rd., #300, Kansas City, MO 64108.
Marcia was born November 16, 1947 to Albert and Rue Anna (Firkins) Stark. She earned her nursing degree from Independence Sanitarium Hospital School of Nursing, where she later worked but spent most of her career at the Medical Center of Independence in Pediatrics. She loved cats and had several of them through her life.
Marcia is survived by her husband of thirty-four years Ted Brunson; brother Jim Stark; sisters Mary Conn and husband Charles, Kathy Putnam and husband Danny; and six nieces and nephews.
