Norma Jean Bucey 83, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
Norma was born August 27th, 1931 in Kansas City as one of five children to Harry and Irene (Snyder) Johnson. She attended William Chrisman High School and later married her high school sweetheart, David Harve on December 31, 1949. Together they raised four children. She worked for over fifteen years at Hallmark Cards, retiring in 1988. She is remembered as the strongest, sweetest, and greatest mother and grandmother any family could ever have. Norma supported her husband as he coached football and baseball for seventeen years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and family time. She is loved and will be missed.
Norma is survived by children, David M.Bucey, Ruth A, Bucey, Tamara L. Hughes, Tara G. Narron; three grandchildren, Lindsey Barjenbruch, Billy Bucey, and Shelby Hughes; four great grandchildren, Christian and Amira Bucey, Bennett and Sullivan Barjenbruch; and one sister Juanita Schneider of Blairsville, GA.
