Wesley F. Buddemeyer, 82 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, Sep. 27, 2003 at his Independence home were he was born. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tues. Sep. 30, 2003 at the George C. Carson & Son�s Funeral Home. Burial in Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or a charity of choice. Mr. Buddemeyer was born on Oct. 13, 1920 to Otto & Pauline (Huxol) Buddemeyer in Independence and was a lifelong area resident He was owner of K C Booth in North Kansas City and was a graduate of Northeast High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the glider infantry division of the 101st Airborne. He served at the invasion of Normandy and sustained injuries during the Battle of the Bulge. Wesley was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, two brothers and his parents. He is survived by a son, Jack Buddemeyer, grandson, Kurt Buddemeyer and a granddaughter, Kristin Buddemeyer, all of Grain Valley, MO. One sister, Thelma Kemp of Independence, MO.
