Shelly Albert “Al” Bulin, 92, of Leawood, KS formerly from Bella Vista AR and the Quad Cities, passed away on Oct. 13, 2016.
Graveside inurnment with military honors will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Noland Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
All was born on February 26, 1924, in Milligan, Nebraska. He was a WWII veteran proudly serving in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1943 – 1946. After honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He began his career with J.I. Case Company as an engineer retiring in 1984 after 35 years of dedicated work. He married Ruth Beilhartz in 1961, who preceded him in death in 1996. Al married Jeanette Cloud in 2001. In Al’s spare time, he enjoyed sailing, playing the tuba, dancing, and reading. He was truly a master of all trades; he could design or fix anything. He was quiet, reserved, and down-to-earth, with a talent for telling stories. He had a soft spot for his dogs, particularly his best friend, Charlie.
Al’s survivors include his wife, Jeanette; loving children: Joe Bulin (Diane), Lisa O’Dell (Harry), Scott Cloud (Sara), Sarah Fox (Tim), and Laura Cloud; grandchildren, Alyssa (Tanner), Nathaniel, Kiana (Mike), Tyler, Lindsey (Quincy), James, Noble, Lauren (Ryan), Tasewell (Caitlain), Tyler (Lauren), Ehren, Jacob (Leslie), Rachel, and Libby; and great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Tevihn, Ayden, and Liliana Marie.
