John Estel Bullington

John Bullington, 92, of Independence, MO passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. A service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. John was born February 21, 1924 to John and Bertie Bullington. He proudly served in the United States Army and then worked as a purchasing manager for the Community Blood Center. Before his wife’s passing in 2001, he enjoyed making crafts including ceramics with her. John mostly loved time with his family, fishing and gardening. He was extremely proud of his 83 pound tuna that he had caught in Florida. John will be remembered by his two daughters Sharon Guthrie of Independence, MO, Becky Miller of Sandston, VA; three grandchildren Tracy Guthrie-Vastag of Chicago, IL, David Guthrie of Garnett, KS, and Adam Miller of Chicago, IL; and one great-grandson Sebastian Guthrie. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House.
