Arlene Mary Bunce, 88 of Raytown, MO passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Additional services and burial will be held in Greenfield, Iowa. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arlene was born July 24, 1929 in Stuart, Iowa to Art E. and Edith (Lewis) Sackett and has lived in Raytown, MO for several years. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing cards, arts and craft projects. She was a member of the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church Raytown Campus and was also a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group. Survivors include; a daughter, Diane McKinney and husband Dennis of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Vera Schneider of Greenfield, IA and Lou Maynes of Carson, IA; 2 brothers, Frank Sackett of Greenfield, IA and Harry Sackett of Stuart, IA and 2 grandchildren, Terresa McKinney and Christine McKinney. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl R. Bunce in 1977; her parents, a brother, Leroy Sackett, a sister, Velma Tiedeman, 2 children, David and Lynette Bunce and a grandson, Robert McKinney.
