Opal Iris (Spencer) Burke, 89, Liberty, MO. died Aug. 9, 2005. Services will be 2 pm, Monday, Aug. 15, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Liberty Hospice, P.O. Box 1002, Liberty, MO 64069-1002. Opal was born March 28, 1916 to James Edward & Nancy Janie (Wooten) Spencer in rural Lawrence County, Missouri. She was a Baptist and a member of the Women�s Benefit Assoc. Opal was preceded in death by her husband E.W. Burke on Feb. 17, 2001; a great-granddaughter Andrea Pate; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by daughter Racene Bolin and husband Bob, Excelsior Springs, MO; son Jamie Johnson and wife Bobbie, Lee�s Summit, MO; daughter Janie Crouse, Liberty, MO; grandchildren Renna Pate, John F. Hankins, both of Excelsior Springs, MO; Rhonda Wilson, Vibbard, MO; Ronald D. Freeman and wife Anna, Excelsior Springs, MO; Rachelle Abel and husband Charlie, Santa Rosa, CA; Christy Rowe and husband Steve, Independence, MO; Craig Johnson and wife Kila, San Diego, CA; Carrie Oliver and husband Travis, Independence, MO; Mark Schutzmann; Kyle Johnson, both of Chicago, IL; Alaina Johnson, Lee� Summit, MO; Angela Gudde and husband Sean, Kearney, MO; great-grandchildren Jai Pate, Lura Pate, Johnathan Wilson, Matthew White, Mallori Wilson, Miles Wilson, Summer Freeman, Spencer Freeman, Styler Freeman, Jaden Abel, Allison Rowe, Abigail Rowe, Angela Rowe, Dean Oliver, Colton Gudde, Mackenzie Gudde, Dawson Gudde; great-great-grandson Preston White; and numerous nephews and nieces.
