Alberta Marie Burkett

Alberta M. Burkett age 71, passed away Apr. 20, 2005 at the Independence Health Care Center. Mrs. Burkett was born on Dec. 10,1933 in Independence, MO where she lived all of her life. She was a Methodist. She enjoyed crafting, antiquing and watching her beloved grandchildren in their many sports and school activities. She was a 1951 graduate of William Chrisman High School. She loved her classmates with whom she remained best friends and enjoyed working on their many class reunions. Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Chrisman, a brother, John R. Chrisman and a daughter, Marcy L. Burkett. She is survived by her husband, Denver E. Burkett, a son Kent L. Burkett and wife, Jan and two grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Burkett, all of Independence. In accordance with Alberta�s wishes and out of respect for her family, there will be private memorial services. Her husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren invite all family and friends to the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Jan Burkett on Saturday April 23, 2005, from 1 to 4:00 pm. Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in Alberta�s name may donate to The American Cancer Society, Good Shepard Hospice or to Wayside Waifs.
