Thomas Burleson

Tom Burleson, 47, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. Tom was born on October 23, 1968 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth T. Burleson, Jr. and Patricia. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight for over 15 years and was a proud member of Teamsters Union #41. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles, pets, gardening and fishing. Most of all he loved being at home and his dogs. Tom will be remembered by wife Mary; children Dustin, Dylan, and Michaela; parents Kenneth and Patricia; sister Shellie Dumas and husband Jeffrey, and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Great Plains SPCA.
