Martin Edwin “Eddie” Burlingame II, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 17, 2017. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Mo 64052 with cremation to follow. Eddie was born September 24, 1970 in Kansas City, Mo to Martin Edwin and Marilyn Sue (Olson) Burlingame. He was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, win or loose. He especially loved watching the Royals win the World Series in 2015. He is survived by; his daughter, Krystal, a son, Brad, a daughter, Kali, son Brodie, step son, Jackson, sib-in-law/best friend, Jonathan, mother, Marilyn, sisters, Lyn and Ann and brother, Dave. While he had 4 children, of his own, his heart held a lot of love for many more who looked at him as their father, including Falon Self, Toni Potter, Brandon Dawson and Josie Lehman to name a few. One thing that comforts us at this difficult time, is knowing that he is now with his father, Martin Edwin Burlingame, who he mourned deeply since November 6, 1999. To know that they are finally reunited probably in section 341 at the Heavenly arrowhead, cheering on the Chiefs, drinking a beer and catching up makes this loss of ours a tad bit easier. We love you dad, grandpa, friend, brother, uncle, son, and best ex-husband any ex-wife could ask for. Until we meet again… Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Carson-Speaks Chapel (816) 252-7900)
