Betty Ruth Burns

Betty R. Burns, 79, Independence, MO. died Feb. 20. 2006. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the funeral home. Betty was born Feb. 17, 1927 in Kansas City, MO. She worked at the Lake City Plant for years. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens and spending time at the Lake with her family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Burns on Oct. 12, 1990. She is survived by son Robert E. Burns II and wife Linda, Knob Noster, MO; daughter Barbara K. Fabish and husband Steve, Raymore, MO; and sister Shirley A. Schlosser, Raytown, MO.
