Craig Lee Roy Burres

Craig Lee Roy Burres, 64, passed away in his sleep on the morning of February 9th, 2021, after suffering a stroke on January 29, 2021. Craig was born on August 12, 1956, in Larned, KS, to Chester and Beverly Burres. He lived most of his life in the Independence area and attended schools in the area as well. Craig had 3 children: a daughter, Oretta Kay, a son, David Allen Charles and a daughter, Katie Ann. Craig learned at an early age how to be handy with his hands at repairing things or making them. He had done carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and welding work, in addition to custom parts fabricating, jewelry making, wood carving, and auto and motorcycle building. In his spare time, Craig enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his children very much, though he didn’t express it to them very often in words. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.
