Myrtle Edna Burton, 91, Kansas City, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 while surrounded by her family.
Myrtle was born December 11, 1921 in Cedar County, MO the daughter of Charley and Lydia (Moss) Cox. She had worked as a home health aid and was a longtime member of the Coventry Estates Baptist Church in Independence, MO. Myrtle enjoyed gardening, baking, and needlework.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Zimmerman (Gary), Connie Reneau (David), Judy Miller (Terry), Reba Cerra (Joe), Cheryl Coble, and Anita Ogle (Terry); 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Burton in 1991, twin infant sons and her parents.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Coventry Estates Baptist Church; 17133 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at Brasher Cemetery, near Jerico Springs, MO.
