Donald E. Busick, 63 of Blue Springs, Mo passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence following a long illness. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Donald was born August 1, 1953 in Lone Jack, MO to Albert Vernon and Velma Lou (West) Busick and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked for Wilson Plumbing Company for over 20 years most recently as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He was a member of Teamster’s Union, Local #41 in Kansas City. Survivors include; his wife, Dorothy Busick of the home; 2 sons, Robert Busick and Jason Busick of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter, Vanessa Hartstad and husband Steven of Red Wing, MN; 3 sisters, Betty Snyder, Janet Rhodes and Karen Owings; and 6 grandchildren, Bailey, Wyatt, Alivia, Abbigail, Parker and Samantha and numerous nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Roger and Jack Busick.
