Charles W. Butner

Charles W. Butner, 75, Independence, MO. passed away March 23, 2006. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Sunday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Monday, March 27, at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church; cremation. The Rosary will be said at 5 pm, Sunday with a memorial visitation to follow until 7 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Charles was born July 21, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked at TWA for 25 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Thomas & Lois Butner, brother Tommy Butner, and sister Laura Butner. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marlene Butner, of the home; daughter Karen Christian and husband David, Oak Grove, MO; son Charles Butner, Jr., Houston, TX; daughters Marlene Irwin, Sedalia, MO; Kathy Moore, Independence; sons Victor Butner and wife Kendra, Higginsville, MO; Michael Butner and wife Samantha, Independence; brothers George Butner and wife Betty, Garden City, MO; Roy Butner, Warsaw, MO; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
