Everett Harrison Bybee, 81 of Independence went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wed. Feb 28, 2007. Services will be 10:00 am, Mon. Mar. 5, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO. Burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be 7 - 8:30 pm, Sunday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to St. Jude�s Children�s Hospital. Mr. Bybee was born on Oct. 17, 1925 to Charles and Ada (Brown) Bybee in Blue Springs, MO. He had been a Heat Treater at the Lake City Ammunitions Plant retiring in 1985 after 24 years. Everett was a devout Christian, great husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Traveling and getting together with his family. He was a member of the "Liars Club� at Hy-Vee and cherished the time spent with the other members. He had been a Boy Scout Leader for many years. Everett served his country with pride by serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Hilliard. He is survived by his wife, Estell "Kathy� Bybee of Independence, MO. Eight children, Clair Bybee and wife Laura of Kingsville, MO, Robert Bybee of Independence, MO, Angela Volkmer and husband Mark of Lee�s Summit, MO, Shelby Rogers and husband Jim of Greenwood, MO, Tracy Ziegler and wife Donna of Rogers, TX, Brent M. Knowles of Arcadia, CA, Dorothy Hilliard of Sugar Creek, MO and Jeannette Bowman of Florida. Nine grandchildren, Melissa D. Morgan, Joshua "J.R.� Morgan, Emily B. "LuuLuu� Ziegler, David Bybee, Clint Hilliard, Chad Hilliard, Cindy Hilliard, Lauren Ziegler and Jessica Ziegler. One great granddaughter, Kyleigh Morgan Stitt. One brother, Carl Bybee of Pleasant Hill, MO and two sisters, Alice Thompson and husband Bill of Independence, MO, and Shirley Cogan and husband Don of Independence, MO.
