Mary Louise Cain, 75, Independence, Mo. died July 2, 2004 at her home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church; interment a Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Monday with a Rosary at 7 pm, at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to Children�s Mercy Hospital. Mary was born July 31, 1928 in Vermillion , KS. She was a graduate of Kansas City Business School and later an executive secretary at Montgomery Wards until her retirement. She was a member of the Church where she served as Past President and Treasurer of the Altar Society. She was a long-time member of the A.B.W.A., a volunteer greeter at the Vaile Mansion, and a reading tutor at elementary schools for many years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Cain and sister, Betty Bullock. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Suzanne & Charlie Reiling, Arlington, TX; Cheryl & Bill Crabbe, The Woodlands, TX; Claudia & Dan Edmonds, Overland Park, KS; son and daughter-in-law Tim & Nancy Cain, Lake Lotawana, MO; sisters and brothers-in-law Joyce & Harlan Johnson, Frankfort, KS; Jo Anne & Harold McClary, Vermillion, KS; brother-in-law Glen Dale Bullock, Springfield, MO; grandchildren Jeff, Lisa, & Michael Reiling; Ryan, David, Christopher & Courtney Crabbe; Angela, Michele & Josh Edmonds; Jaclynn Cain Coomes, Charles & Molly Cain; great-grandsons Brennon & Jayden Reiling.
