Janice Lea Caldwell

Janice L Caldwell, age 82 of Independence, Missouri passed away of congestive heart failure at Centerpoint Hospital on November 9, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Caldwell, parents Jack and Helen Shaw, sister Peggy, and brother Steve.
Janice leaves behind her son Robert (Anna), daughter, Kelli, her grandchildren Michael (Cassandra), Carrie (Brandon) Adams, Janice, Alden and great-grandchildren Serena, Maria, Robert, Nolan, Kaitlyn, Brooklyn, sisters Joyce Shaw and Jackie (Donnie) Coin, nieces and nephews and many great friends. She was previously married to Keith Caldwell.
Janice was born on November 4, 1938 in Milan, Missouri. She graduated from Milan High School in 1958. She resided in Independence, Missouri. Janice had many hobbies that included spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, grand-dogs, traveling, cooking, going to the shows and reading books. She retired from JC Penney’s.
Services will be held at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington, Independence, Missouri 64052 on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Visitation is at 1:00pm followed by Janice’s celebration of life services at 2:00pm. Janice will be cremated and her remains laid to rest at a later date.
