Pauline Boone Calvert, 82 of Independence passed away, Sun. Jan 8, 2006 at St. Mary�s Hospital of Blue Springs. Services will be 10:00 am, Fri. Jan. 13, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO. Burial in Lobb Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:00 pm, Thursday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to St. Matthew United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Mrs. Calvert was born on Aug 2, 1923 to John and Glenna (Chrisman) Boone in Atherton, MO and was a lifelong area resident. She had been a Stenographer and Sales Rep. with Southwestern Bell Telephone, retiring in 1980. Pauline was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family whether it be visiting Art Galleries or attending family gatherings. She was a charter member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church and had serviced as Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Leader, Church Historian and co-chair of the Adult and Family Ministries. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She had previously been very active in the 4 H extension center and had for over 50 years been a member of a supper club in Independence. Pauline is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob� Calvert of Independence. Two daughters, Janet Calvert of Independence and Betty Crews and husband Bob of Tigard, OR. Three grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan and Rachel, all of Tigard, OR. A brother, John Boone of Arlington, TX. One brother-in-law, seven sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
