Gustave J. Camerlynck, 86, of Independence, MO passed away October 28, 2012 at his home. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. A procession and graveside will then take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Gustave was born November 2, 1925 in Independence, MO to Phillip and Augusta Camerlynck. He was a life member of the American Legion Tirey J. Ford Post; VFW Post #3976 in Sugar Creek; as well as a 60 year member of the Greater Kansas City Laborers International Union, Local #1290. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva A. Camerlynck; and eleven brothers and sisters. Gus is survived by one son, Phillip Camerlynck Sr. and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Sherie and Rick Hendren, Tammy and Michael Summers, Phillip Jr. and Amy Camerlynck; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Gustave and Garth Hendren, Jessica and Shayne Henre, Elizabeth Hancock and Candra, Phillip, Collin and Elaina Camerlynck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. All of his family resides in Independence, MO.
