STEVEN GREGORY CAMP
Steven Gregory Camp, 62, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
Steve was born January 20, 1951 in Kansas City, MO the son of Charles “Jack” and Doris Ann (Bornowski) Camp. He was a 1969 graduate of Westport High School. Steve as a bus driver for 25 years with KC ATA; Kansas City Area Transportation Authority. He enjoyed working on cars and building and flying radio controlled airplanes. Steve was past president and member of KC Radio Control and 49th Jumbo Squadron, as well as a past member of Sunchasers.
Survivors include his loving wife Phyllis (Albright) Camp; son, Greg Camp and wife Heather; grandchildren, Courtney and Katie Camp; sister, Stephanie House and husband John; additional nieces, nephews and his faithful companion dog, Cotton. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Camp; mother, Doris Ann Azamber; and step father, Ace Azamber.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. A celebration of Steve’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
