John Campbell, 74, Grandview MO, died Sunday, January 23, 2005, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO 64055. Mr. Campbell was born June 6, 1930, to James and Florence (Scrom) Campbell. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He owned and operated several businesses during his lifetime, including Hearth & Home and the Construction People News, as well as working in sales and marketing. He loved woodworking and spending time with his family. John was a member of the Water Garden Society of Kansas City. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Drake) Campbell, of the home; his two children, Kenneth Campbell, Grandview MO, and Marti Hill and her husband Mark, Jefferson City MO; six grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, and Aubrey Campbell, and Jamie, Jonathon, and Benjamin Hill; his brother, Lawrence Campbell; and many other loving relatives and friends.
