Larry Jospeh "Toady" Cannady

Larry Joseph "Toady� Cannady, 62, Indep., Mo. died Oct. 3, 2004 at Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10 am, Wed., Oct. 6 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 5 at the funeral home. Toady was born Oct. 30, 1941, in Kansas City, Mo. He worked at the GM Leeds Plant for 25 years and retired when the plant closed. He loved his family and was always willing help any and all who asked. Toady is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Cannady, of the home; son Rocky Cannady, Kingsville, Mo.; daughters Kim Vanfossen, Indep., Mo., and Cherie Cannady, Overland Park, Ks.; his mother, Laura Jones, Indep., Mo.; brother, Leroy Cannady, K.C., Mo.; sister Mary Elgin, Belton, Mo.; brothers Jerry Cannady, Paola, Ks.; and Jesse Cannady, Indep., Mo.; sister Kathy Hobbs, Peculiar, Mo.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
