William "Bill" Roy Carey

William “Bill” Ray Carey passed away January 25, 2022 in the loving arms of his wife and daughter. He was fully surrounded by his family, including his grandchildren, siblings, niece, and friends. Cremation is planned with private family services at a later date. Bill was born on March 5, 1942 in Kansas City where he resided his entire life. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and spent over 4 decades as a professional lithographer. He had a particularly huge love of all outdoor recreational activities, music, animals, and automobiles. Bill was preceded in death by his sister Beverly. He leaves behind his wife Darlene of 36 years, daughter Ashley, step-daughter Natalie, 4 grandchildren and their spouses, and 4 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Bill requested that those that knew and loved him make a donation to their local blood bank.
