Marsha Kathleen Carillo, of Oak Grove, MO, a free-spirited woman who loved to live life to the fullest, passed away on December 26, 2021. She was 64 years old. Marsha was born on April 6, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Kenneth and Juliana Engstrom. At the age of 30, Marsha got the opportunity to solo a plane all on her own. On July 10, 1999, she married Paul Carillo in Las Vegas, NV. For almost 10 years, she was a proud business owner, but Marsha truly had a natural gift and enjoyed helping people as a licensed practical nurse, and worked at a few facilities over the span of 25 dedicated years. She was a huge animal lover and would spend her spare time with her pets. Together, Marsha and Paul would travel and would always pack up and go, even at a moment’s notice. As a selfless woman, Marsha was a very kind caregiver, who had no boundaries when it came to helping others. Her family, friends and colleagues knew her as a remarkable nurse. She was a loving sister, daughter, aunt, and was the best wife that anyone could ask for, as she will be dearly loved and sorely missed. Marsha is survived by her husband and love of her life for 28 years, Paul Carillo; brothers, Steph (Kimberly) Engstrom, and Mark Engstrom; and niece and nephew, Courtney and Bryan Engstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Juliana Engstrom. A visitation to honor Marsha will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 65055.
