Mildred Carlile

Mildred L. Carlile, 96 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the East Independence Community of Christ 823 S. Elizabeth, Independence, MO 64056. Private graveside will be held in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Donations in her name may be made to the East Independence Community of Christ or to the Temple Endowment Fund. Mildred was born January 20, 1916 in Bantry, ND to Jeremiah and Grace (Stowell) Wagener. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed her family and spending time with grandchildren. She was a member of the East Independence Community of Christ where she was a teacher in the priesthood and a member of the Laurel Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She was married to Earle Carlile who preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Kaye Reynolds and husband Dale of Independence, MO and Joy Lovett and husband Karl of Texas; a son, Frank Carlile and wife Gloria of Marshfield, MO; a brother-in-law, Bert DeLong of Independence, MO; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
