On Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:40 am Carolyn Anne Carmichael beloved mother, friend gained eternal life at the age of 74.
Carolyn was born October 31, 1946 to Arthur and Daisy Swank in Syracuse, NY. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her sister Marie Halloway.
Carolyn graduated from St. Francis Academy in Nevada, MO in 1964. She married Marx James Carmichael on February 11, 1966 and they had 2 children, Theresa and Jim.
Carolyn loved to work in the garden with her roses, she loved music and to sing. There was always music in the background of whatever life was pulling her into. She loved her children and sacrificed many things so they could have what they needed. She also loved to travel and see new places whenever she could. Carolyn lived in Syracuse, New York, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lenexa, Kansas, San Antonio, Texas, Seattle, Washington, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Kansas City, Avondale and Independence in Missouri. Carolyn loved her animals. Her cats Princess, Lucky, Shelly and Peanut, and her dogs Wrinkles, Boomer, Alley, Sugar, Sadie and Sir Winston.
She is SORELY missed by all who love her! Carolyn is survived by her daughter Theresa Marie (Robert) McQueen and her son James David (Julie).
Carolyn’s remains will be cremated and ashes spread at a later date in the Pacific Northwest as per her wishes. No memorial service is planned.
