Roma Carr

Roma F. Carr, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at The Villages of Jackson Creek. Roma was born September 7, 1926 in Henrietta, MO to parents Earl and Bertha (Bramlett) Corum. Throughout her life, Roma was involved in VFW post #7356 and Lake Waukomis Womens Club. She also loved dogs, including her beloved “DeeDee” who preceded her in death. Roma is survived by nephews Thomas Corum and wife Marcie, Russ Corum and wife Linda, and Wayne Corum and wife Amy; sister-in-law Ethel Corum; and many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Russell Carr; and brother Cecil Corum, and his son, Cecil Corum, Jr. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO, 64055. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Private inurnment in Lexington, MO.
