Stephen Carr, 62, of Levasy, MO passed away May 10, 2016. A Celebration of Stephen’s life will take place on May14, 2016, from 2-5pm, at Speaks Buckner Chapel. Stephen was born on January 23, 1954 in Chattanooga, TN to Gene and Beverly (Eaves) Carr. Stephen was a Master Auto Mechanic, for over 40 years, with several local shops, most notable with Hight Automotive. He met the love of his life, Brenda Harper, while moving a piano for her in Kansas City. They settled in the Levasy area where they remained for over 30 years. Stephen enjoyed music, playing in several local bands including Bandit and the Longriders. He played several instruments, but preferred the guitar. He even began making cigar box guitars! He also enjoyed camping at Lake Pomme D’ Terre with his family. Stephen was a loving husband, Dad, and Grandpa who will truly be missed for his wonderful sense of humor. Although he did have a weak spot, he was afraid of the family pet “Squeaky” the squirrel! His constant companion however was “Peeps” his beloved rat terrier. They shared a bond that was inseparable. Survivors include; his loving wife of 41 years, Brenda Carr; sons Dan Harper (Chandee) and Damon Thompson (Terry); daughters Raven Carr and Rachael Curtis (Gary); Grandchildren Hollie, Brandon, and Lily Thompson, Clayton Nance, Shaley Harper, Conner and Addy Curtis; sisters Susan Scott and Meredith Bennett; brother Robert Carr; cousins Baxter and George Eaves; a large extended family and host of friends. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents.
