Vivian “Kay” Carroll, 72, passed away on Sunday May 28, 2023, at her home in Lee's Summit, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on November 27, 1950, in Popular Bluff, Missouri. Kay grew up in California until she was 19 years old, when she moved to Seattle and then back to Missouri where she met her husband, Steve. Steve and Kay were blessed to be together for 38 years. Kay was an amazing homemaker who was always working on projects and kept everything incredibly organized. She loved working outside and taking care of everyone. Kay and Steve spent most of their free time at her favorite place to work- the lake house, boating, and riding Wave runners. More than anything, she was an amazing mother and grandma. She loved playing with her four grandchildren in the basement so very much.
Kay is survived by her husband Steve, daughter Tracy, son-in-law Jon Jacque, grandchildren Jacquelynn, Jillian, Jordan, and Jon Jacque Jr. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and stepfather.
A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 am on Thursday June 1, 2023, at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th Independence, MO 64055) with a service immediately following at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Floral Hills East Cemetery.
