Johnny Kapp Carter, 57, of Independence, MO died on Monday, October 10, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 13, 1959, the son of his mother, the late Kathryne Ann (Gross) Carter and his father who survives him, John Spencer Carter, as well as his mother Donna Sue Carter. He was a machinist, and was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and camping, and loved getting lost in the woods. He mostly loved his family barbeques and Sunday dinners. Kapp was married after 30 years of on and offs, to his lifetime love, Patsy I. Dunnington on September 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by a brother, Baby John; sons, Charles J. Dunnington and Corey Dean Holmes. Kapp is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Carter; daughters, Brandy Parker and Johnny D. Carter; sons, Miles Dunnington and Brandon Long; father, John Spencer Carter; mother, Donna Sue Carter; sisters, Geanna Sullins, Johneen (Cissi) Robinson and Johna Isackson; one brother, Johnny Carter; and lots of grandkids.
