Louise “Natalie” Carter, a woman of faith, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was 71. Natalie was born to Oscar and Ruth Hannaford on February 13, 1950 in Slater, Missouri.
After graduating from Truman High School Natalie took some college courses before beginning her career as a secretary for AT&T for 33 years. It was there she met her soulmate Charles Johnson. They spent the next 28 years making memories together. Natalie had a heart of gold and looked forward to any opportunity to help someone else. She loved animals and would often be found feeding and caring for the creatures of nature as they roamed her backyard. Natalie was a colorful spirit and found the beauty in everything. She enjoyed tending to her garden, crafting with her grandchildren, always making sure to have beautiful flowers in her yard and traveling. Natalie was also known for her baking, specifically trying out new bread recipes which her family would happily test out for her. She was a kind, loving soul and will be missed greatly.
Natalie is survived by her spouse and best friend, Charles Johnson; son, Michael Carter; grandchildren, Destiny Ballard and Dara Day; and daughter in law, Marissa Carter.
She’s preceded in death by her husband, William Carter and parents.
